  • I just had a great, but busy 4 days.  I went home to Indy to see family and to go to my sister-in-law to be's Bridal Shower.  The shower was fun.  I saw some people from my home church that I haven't seen in awhile.  My sister then came home with me for a couple of days.  We hung out and went shopping which is a lot of fun for the two of us.  She went home today but I get to see her twice in the next couple of months so that will be nice.  She is a very fun girl, it's too bad she lives like 10 hours away!

Two days from now my Spring Break will start!  I don't have any plans but it will be nice to have a break from the regular routine!  Hopefully we will have some warmer weather and I can do some stuff outside!

So my last entry was talking about fall and here today we're having a semi ice storm!  Crazy huh!  School was cancelled so that meant no work today!  Instead today I did a water aerobics class and baked cookies.  Fun huh!  See my husband won me a 6 month memebership to a new workout facility by our house.  It's really nice, all the equipment is state of the art and all their classes are included in the membership so you can take as many as you want.  Well, my sister in law has a patient at the dental office that's a water aerobics instructor at this facility.  Since neither of us had to work today we decided to take a class.  It was a lot of fun!  We were the youngest ones in the class which made it interesting but it was a good workout.  After that I went home and made Christmas cookies.  My mom was never a big Christmas cookies person, but every year my Grandma Reedy always made Carmel Cookies with a cookie press.  My sister, 2 other girl cousins and I would always help her make them.  Then on Christmas eve when the whole family was at her house we ate them.  Even though she's not here anymore I like to continue the tradition, at least the tradition of making them.  Last year when my sister and I made them they turned out a little hard, but this year was great!  Only 14 more days til Christmas!!

  • I love fall!  I love the fact that I can wear sweaters in the evening but still wear flip flops!  I think this year I'm in tune more with fall and all it has to offer.  At the preschool we've been doing a ton of fall activities so getting ready for them has really made me appreciate fall even more!  Last week we talked about apples...we made applesauce, used the story of the star in the middle of the apple to paint, and lots of other cool things.  This week we're talking about the season of Fall and all the things God has made specific for this season.  The kids loved playing in the leaves, pinecones, and corn cobs in the sensory table today.  I think that God made the different seasons so we could constantly be reminded of how creative He is!  He is amazing!

  •  Well, I've been quite busy since my last post.  The first week in August Ryan and I and his immediate family all went up to Spider Lake in Marcell, MN.  Ryan went there when he was little and his dad went there all the time when he was growing up.  It was pretty fuIMG_0690n.  We did a lot of fishing and some sking.

The biggest catch of my week!

The Saturday after we got back from Minnisota I threw a surprise birthday party for Ryan.  He turned 30 on Aug. 4th.

DSCN0958 Ryan loves airplanes and every thing that involves them so I had an airplane themed party for him.

Next came Labor Day weekend.  We ended up going down to my home town of Mooresville, IN.  We spent some time with family and some family friends that we haven't seen in a long time.  One of my favorite things to do in Indy on Labor Day weekend is to go see the fireworks.  It is set up so that the fireworks go with music playing on a local station.  So that if the song has the word "red" in it the fireworks are red or if it talks about stars the firework is in the shape of a star and so on.DSCN0971

Finally, we are up to date...this week started my first week with the kids at my new job at  Kidzworks Preschool.  It was a big change from being at the daycare, but a good one.  I'm really looking forward to the school year ahead!  Well, sorry I had to catch  you all up in one long post, hopefully I'll get back on track with things.  Have a great weekend!
